Dr. Jamie Keen received her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, where she graduated with honors. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, MI, where she was chief resident. She then went on to complete a two-year Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) fellowship at the University of Iowa.
Dr.Keen has an affiliate academic position at Loyola Medical Center and teaches residents in the Loyola ophthalmology residency program at the Hines VA hospital. She has participated in numerous research projects and has published her work in several highly esteemed scientific journals.
Dr.Keen is passionate about helping patients with oculofacial plastic as well as orbital and lacrimal system diseases. She prides herself in being a compassionate physician who ensures her patients get the best outcomes.
She is dedicated to advocacy and is involved in the American Medical Association (AMA), representing ophthalmology. She is also interested in mentoring ophthalmology trainees and is involved in the mentorship program as a member of Women in Ophthalmology (WIO).
In her spare time, she enjoys exercise classes, attending concerts and sporting events, travel, and trying out new restaurants in downtown Chicago. She spends lots of time with her family and loves taking both of her family dogs on long walks around the city.
